The Winter Night

The red sky,shrieking cold breeze

The soft drizzling and the frozen trees

Can anything be more serene

Than this beautiful winter nite

The wet courtyard and wet benches

The timid owl hiding itself in the branches

Appeals to get out of our quilts

And share this exotic moment with it

Such a warm winter is not the fate of everyone

Go give your heart a chance to appreciate it

Promises a lot to make, but do promise yourself

Once to drink the beauty of nature

That the divine has created

In such a winter night,

missing my soulmate's touch and warmth

In her tender arms sleeping all way long……

Regardless of right and wrong……….

The whistling of the wind, pumps a fire in

The fog so sharp, heels the pains inside

The tiny white pearls on the ashoka leaves

Sweeps swiftly through the green skin

Leaving one thirst to meet again

Again when such fateful night comes.....................
