Servants of the Night

The Great Dark Streets,
To many ways they lead,
The dark corners of lunacy,
And well lit regions of mirth.

In many ways but one,
You'll fail to reach your desire,
Young one read the letters on the wall,
The prophecy of your fall!

Through the empty streets you'll pass,
Wading through the darkness of my world,
Leading yourself to inimitable doom,
The one I’ll stage for you soon.

I am the Night,
Covering Gaia,
Spreading panic in peace,
I look for those that don’t aspire.

March through me,
Into my heart,
Feel the living death,
In the silence of time.

The fear that rushes,
Through your very veins,
Will eat you alive,
Losing all reason you will join I.

Join me if you will,
Fearful child of day,
I shall teach the trade of the Night,
Of power, hunger, and will.

Satiate your hunger,
On a dinner with a mate,
A Castle of Ice we must create,
To keep our prey.

Follow me will you,
I'll Show you my trade,
The lust of the night,
Which never will fade!

Once upon a land, in a distant time,
My master taught me the trade of night,
One that'll eventually consume me,
Like it did to him, See?

Then he bowed, and I recited,
"Do you take upon yourself this unholy trade?”
"Swear to Satan to sell your soul today?"
"To end those who in live in fear and dismay?"

There he was,
As I was then,
New to the rules,
To this crafty trade.

My time has come I feel it now,
Satan calls for my remains below,
Hush your lips, for the secret of the night
Must never come across a mortal alive.

With that said,
Unholy servant I bid my adieu,
Follow the code, catch your prey,
And you won’t go hungry a single day.
