Found bliss

In search of bliss
I soared into the sky
flew by brightly lit cities
and glided across lush fields…

I met beautiful birds
chirping gleefully in formations
and greeted clouds,floating freely
pure white against blue firmament…

I wondered at the skyscrapers
standing proudly, all steel and strength
and danced in the cascading lights
the glitter of a vibrant city…..

I waded my way through flowers
full of joy colour and life
and felt my way through leaves
soft tickling and teasing….

But I returned empty-handed
only to find your hand in mine
your face innocent,lost in dreams

softly kissed your eyes and found bliss…
