Medieval Love Story

I first saw you,

On a warm summer morning,

Out in the park,

With your friends you were walking,

One look at you,

And you took my breath away.

And to some music,

I suddenly start to sway.

I don’t know,

What I’ve gotten into,

My heads gone wild,

I don’t know what to do.

Next I see you,

In your house’s courtyard,

I knew it then,

I should lay down my trump card.

I came to your fence,

Called out to greet you,

But your father came,

And threw at me his shoe,

“Go away you street rat.

Never come back again.

If you even look at her,

I will cut you into pieces ten.”

So I went away,

Waiting for another chance,

And then it comes,

At the prince’s royal dance.

You arrive with your friends,

In a pretty white gown,

Smiling face, graceful heels,

And your long hair let down.

You start to dance,

Randomly with some other man,

I knew now,

I must do whatever I can.

I sneak behind you,

And make the man slip.

Falling on his face,

His dress gets a rip.

I take my chance,

And we waltz slowly on the floor,

Hours go by,

And I see you off at the door.

You are marrying today,

To someone you don’t know.

But inside your heart,

You feel as if you shouldn’t go.

Find the Romeo,

You met at the prince’s ball

The one who made you sway,

And made the idiot fall.

You look out of your carriage,

And your face gets a shine,

Seeing me on my white horse,

You know all will be fine.

You stop your carriage,

And you run towards me,

Rush off on horse,

Like an uncaged bird to be free.

We gallop across moors,

We go for many days,

We cross many paths,

And in wilderness have some stays.

At last, we reach our destination,

A village no one ever knew,

And now together,

Here our lives we will renew.
